Well here we are then! We finally found some free wifi in the corner bakery.

We'd been in Washington all of two and a half hours before Ruth was asked for I.D.

I know she's very youthful looking but does she really look like she's under 21?

Then yesterday we were in a bar and the woman next to Ruth (also clearly in her 30's) got asked for I.D. and Ruth didn't.

Those crazy yanks...

So anyway, it's really hot and humid here. Yesterday we went sightseeing, starting at the Supreme Court and ending at the Lincoln Memorial via the Capitol Building, The Air and Space Museum, and the Washington Monument.

Then on our way back into town we saw this...

That's Marine One, President Obama's helicopter bringing him back from Detroit.

Three of them flew over our heads and one landed in the front garden of the White House.
